How old should my pup/kitten be before they get their first vaccinations?                                                  6 WEEKS

How old does my put/kitten need to be before they can have a Rabies vaccination?                             3 MONTHS

When should a puppy/kitten start Heartworm prevention?
Puppies and kittens should begin at       8 WEEKS of age

Can I give my puppy/kitten a bath?    After 6 WEEKS of age and using the proper shampoo.

How old should my put/kitten be before they can be spayed/neutered?                                       3-5 MONTHS          
When should I get my pets teeth cleaned?      The doctor will need to evaluate the teeth before scheduling.

Do you perform tail docks and dewclaw removal?     YES

Do you perform ear trims?                                       YES

Do you perform declaws?                                        YES

Do you board animals?                  ONLY for our clients

Do you do Grooming?                                               NO

Do I need to make an appointment before I come in?   
                                            Appointments are perferred

Do I need records from my previous vet?   If at all possible bring these with you or have them faxed to our office.

DID YOU KNOW?

1.  Heavy flea load can cause anemia and death in very young and        underweight  animals.
2.  Heartworm medications given correctly can reduce intestinal    parasites as well as protect against heartworms.
3.  Parvo is preventable - get your pet vaccinated.
4.  Cats as well as dogs can get heartworms
5.  Diabetes can be detected early and can be managed - screening      available.
6.  Dental care is very important to maintain overall good health.
7.  60% of dog owners skip or do not give heartworm medication on     a regular basis.
8.  Heartworms and heartworm disease is completely preventable -     pills monthly or injection that lasts 6 months.
9.  Animals need a balanced diet - table food can lead to many                   illnesses.
10. Chocolate is very bad for our pets even though they love it.
11. Many household plants are poisonous to our pets - check your                  home for these plants.
12. Spayed and neutered animals have fewer health problems as                    they age.
13. Tapeworms come from fleas.
